LEAGUE MINUTES
9/1/98- Jim Kenner welcomed participants to an informational meeting of
a disc golf club at the Kensington Metropark. Everyone introduced themselves and
their experience with disc golf. Jim explained the relationship between himself
and the park directors and the genesis of the course at Kensington. Roll was
taken. Discussion was opened to focus and direction of the forming club. The
club informally agreed to continue to meet on Tuesdays until a vote was
taken. Motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting. Meeting was
adjourned.
9/8/15- Discussion continued on club direction and a tentative timeline
for the club. Interest in a year-round league was expressed and days of the week
to hold it were discussed. Instructions were given to club members to bring a
potential club name to the next meeting. Motion was made and seconded to adjourn
the meeting. Meeting was adjourned.
9-15-98- Jim Kenner made a motion to select a name for the club.
Discussion was held on the naming of the club. The members selected the name
"Club Kensington Disc Golf" (CKDG) by secret Ballot. It became the official name
of the club and will be referred to as such from this point on. Jim Kenner
made a motion to nominate Steve Cherry for the office of secretary. Motion
seconded, voted on and majority carried. Kirk Haggadone made a motion to
nominate Mark Ellis president. Motion seconded, voted on and majority
carried. Jim Kenner mad a motion to nominate Dale and Damon Noel as
co-treasurers. Motion seconded, voted on and majority carried. Jeff Nelson
was nominated league coordinator. Motion seconded, voted on and majority
carried. Kirk Haggadone was nominated tournament director. Motion seconded,
voted on and majority carried. Mark Ellis moved to vote on day and time of
the new league. Motion seconded, and majority elected to hold the league on
Sunday at 11:30 AM. (unofficially dubbed the "Viking League"). It
was agreed that the club would also meet on Sunday. Motion made and seconded
to adjourn. Meeting was adjourned. League officers are elected and listed at this link and
will serve until unable or the league wants a change. The club logo will be
decided at a later date.
1/17/99- The club voted to apply to the PDGA to become an Ace Club
Member at a cost of $100.00 and the motion passed. This will give exposure to
the club and get a membership number for our club.
