Thursday Doubles
What is the Thursday Doubles League?The "Thursday" league plays in all weather conditions. It is NEVER too snowy, rainy, or windy for us to play. We play during daylight savings time periods only. Back to TopWhen does it meet?We meet EVERY Thursday at 5:30pm at the practice basket. While we say 5:30pm, it would really benefit you to get there early so that you have time to warm up, and we can better coordinate things by knowing how many people are going to play. We have also been known to provide free beverages every now and then! April 4, 2002 is the restart of the Thursday Doubles. Back to TopHow much does it cost?There is a $5 fee. If you would like the privilege of "cashing" if you shoot well enough, otherwise we suggest you come on Sunday for the Viking league. Back to TopWho plays in this league?Everyone is welcome to play. If you have never played we would suggest you to come out and join us but do it on Sunday. All ages and the better skilled players play on Thursday. Back to TopFormat of Play.The format is NORMALLY best shot, random draw doubles. Each of these "teams" will take the "best shot" of either the players and throw from that ONE position. Everyone will throw from the "Pro" (long) teepads. Although this is the "normal" league format, we have played many others as well. These include but are not limited to: Modified Best Shot, Pro Short Roller Best Shot, and "Bad" Shot. Back to TopCompiled by Dale Noel
